How Many MLMs Should You Work?

MLM and Long-Term SuccessThese days when everybody seems to be obsessed with multi-tasking and being involved in many things at the same time, being involved in several different MLMs seems to be a professional thing to do. But let me tell you, few things are more destructive to your MLM business than being involved with more than one MLM Company.

Often times, the theory behind being involved in more than one MLM is that you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. After all if you work really hard at one MLM business and it doesn't work out you will have nothing to show for your time and effort. But if you are working several different MLM businesses at the same time and one or two of them don't work out, you still have a few others to fall back on, right?

That sounds like a good idea in theory but the truth is that joining multiple MLM businesses isn't a good idea at all. It is almost impossible to create massive success when you work more than one MLM opportunity.

However, let me point out here that it is OK to be promoting tools and resources that can help your MLM prospects and your downline to promote your MLM. These MLM tools and resources can have their own Affiliate Programs to compensate you for referring people to them. In fact, I believe it's a very good idea to have such Affiliate Programs at hand to help you cover the cost of marketing your MLM opportunity. I know for me these tools and marketing programs have created a good residual income. Also, good MLM marketing programs will give you the right kind of credibility and make you look like an authority in MLM marketing.

Anyway, going back, the first problem with joining multiple MLM businesses is that it gives you a huge credibility issue. Why would someone want to join your MLM business if you're not even sure if it's the right one for YOU? At least that's what it looks like when they see you marketing more than one MLM opportunity. When you talk to someone about your MLM business, you need to be passionate, committed, focused and excited about it and you can't really show that if you are in several different MLM businesses at the same time. How can you look at your MLM prospect in the eye and tell them that you have the perfect MLM business for them when you can't even focus on it? Think about that.

Also, if you are promoting too many MLM businesses, you will end up spreading yourself way too thin and every one of your MLM businesses will end up suffering. A lot of people can hardly handle a job, a part time business as well as their friends and family and other commitments. Just imagine how little time you would have if you were running multiple MLM businesses at the same time. You will never be able to fully throw yourself into anything because you have so many balls in the air at the same time. If you don't focus, you won't succeed.

The most important thing is that you will simply turn off your MLM prospects, your downline and everybody else who is watching you when you work more than one MLM or even worse keep jumping from one MLM to another (don't be an MLM junkie).

By the way, one funny thing is that when other MLMers are trying to recruit me into their MLM deal, they will often try to tell me that... oh, this will not conflict with what you are doing... our product line is completely different than what you are promoting. Let me tell you, it is even worse to be involved with MLMs that have completely different product lines. Why? Because you will need to understand two or more product lines instead of one (say bye bye to focus), and it will make it even harder for you to have any credibility at all.

So you might say, hey what do I do if the MLM I am working goes under or is unfaithful to me in some way? Well, sorry to say this but you just have to start over again. But let me tell you, it is much easier the second time around. I know, because I have been through it. Also, this is exactly why you need to be careful about which MLM Company you choose to work with. Do your research and make sure the MLM Company you pick has great products at reasonable prices, has good ethics, is honest, and is sincere to its distributors. Don't fall for the hype, fancy websites, fancy videos, loud hyper owners. Look at the character and business experience of the people running the MLM Company. Look at their past, what have they done in the past? That will tell you a lot about what they will do in the future. Because if you build it with the right MLM Company, you will get to keep your residual income coming for a very long time.

Find a good ethical MLM opportunity, focus on it and build it until you are financially free.
